The Risen King
A Resurrection Poem
May this poem lift your eyes to our glorious Savior and King.
He is risen, indeed!
What beautiful news.
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.— 1 Corinthians 15: 55-57
The Risen King
What glory filled
the earth the day
our Savior rose up
from the grave.
The demons wept
with bitter rage,
but Heaven roared
in awestruck praise!
Our God defeated
death and sin
to bring us home
to dwell with Him.
The shackles of
our sin undone,
all Heaven praised
the worthy One.
Freed from the
tyranny of death,
we live beyond
our final breath!
Praise to the King
o’er death and life!
Oh, praise the Lord,
He is alive!
